Police Inspector (PI) is Class II level exam which is conducted by Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC). Please note that GPSC board not publishing notification for PI Exam regularly so don’t be depend on the same. GPSC started recruitment for direct PI level post after 2015, before this this post was filled by promotion (from Police Sub Inspector – PSI). Eligibility
Age limit: 20 to 35
5 years relaxation for ST, SC, SEBC & EWS candidates
10 years relaxation for ST, SC, SEBC & EWS female candidates
5 years relaxation for General category female candidates
Educational Qualification for PI Exam: Graduate
Final year / semester students can apply for preliminary exam but he/she must have graduate degree within last date of application for GPSC PI Main Examination.
Basic computer knowledge required.

Gujarati and English Paper level will be 12th (Higher Level) level.
General Studies syllabus level will be graduate level.
Physical fitness and Physical Efficiency Test are screening test only, there are no marks for physical tests.
Only physically fit and PET passed candidates will be called for Main Examination.
Medium for Paper 1 will be Gujarati and Paper 2 will be English.
Candidates can write Paper 3 and Paper 4 (General Studies) in both, Gujarati & English Language.
Candidate also write different question’s answer in both, Gujarati & English Language.
